Anti-Bullying Week is organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) and takes place from 13th to 17th November 2023. This week provides an opportunity for organisations to run anti-bullying events and activities which promote diversity and inclusion.
Make a Noise About Bullying
The theme for this year’s Anti-Bullying Week is ‘Make a Noise About Bullying’ which aims to encourage everyone to be proactive about tackling bullying. The focus of this week is to:
- Explore what bullying means to us.
- Examine the harm bullying causes.
- Develop a range of ways to stop bullying.
Whether it is in school, at home, in the community or online, together we can stamp out bullying.
What is Odd Socks Day?
Anti-Bullying Week starts off with ‘Odd Socks Day’ on Monday 13th November. This is a time to celebrate what makes us all unique.
Who Are the Anti-Bullying Alliance?
The ABA is a group of individuals and organisations who all share one vision — to identify and deal with bullying in schools & colleges and provide a safe learning environment for all. It provides advice, tools and guidance on ways to prevent and tackle bullying and encourages the sharing of ideas and innovations. Anti-Bullying Week has been organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance since 2004 with the goal of raising awareness of bullying and the impact it has on people’s lives.
